The Empress

Major Arcana

This is tarot, a different tradition from astrology. The card is drawn at random: nothing in the sky chooses it. It is a prompt for reflection and it predicts nothing.

Reversed

What the tradition associates with this card when it falls the other way up.

Reversed, traditionally read as care that has gone out of proportion: tending others until nothing is left over, or holding on so closely that growth is crowded. It is associated with creative work that has stalled and with neglected comfort.
